Programme
We are truly passionate about our programme and dedicate ourselves to creating engaging lessons that support teenage language learners both inside and outside the classroom.
What Can I Expect?
At Home & Away Education, we believe every student attending our programme deserves to build confidence, enhance their communication skills, have fun, and leave with unforgettable memories and lasting friendships. All of our teaching materials crafted in-house by our are academic team, and are regularly updated based on valuable feedback from students and teacher focus groups.
At Home & Away Education, all students take a written and oral placement test on their first day to ensure they are assigned to classes that are both challenging and perfectly suited to their language level. Additionally, every student is provided with a comprehensive course book containing all the essential learning materials for their language course.
At Home & Away Education, our Junior Programme features a tailored syllabus. We understand that teenagers are passionate about a variety of topics that are important to their lives, interests, and personal growth. Our goal is to offer engaging and supportive lessons that help students build confidence in their language skills. Our lessons are carefully structured into two key categories: Language Study, which focuses on grammar and vocabulary, and Language in Use, which emphasises practical application and communication skills.
- Language Study focuses on the building blocks of the English language and aims to build students’ communicative competence by refreshing the knowledge they have, enlarging their vocabulary, and putting it into practice in real world contexts and engaging activities. In our weekly Review lessons, students recycle new language in either role plays or extended activities.
Language In Use:
- Lessons that aim to develop transferable skills that will benefit students outside the classroom
- Typically British lessons that include learning about different cultural aspects on British life
- Projects that focus on cooperation and creativity
Our Materials
At Home & Away Education, all teaching and learning materials for our courses are created in-house by our expert Academic team. We cater to a range of age groups, offering not only a standard teenage syllabus but also a special curriculum designed specifically for young learners. The content and design of our materials are shaped by valuable feedback from student and teacher focus groups. We continuously update and refine our syllabus to ensure each new edition of our course books remains fresh, engaging, and aligned with our students' evolving needs.
Our Teachers
Our teachers create engaging, meaningful lessons that challenge students in a positive, supportive environment. We aim to build their confidence, so they feel motivated and inspired to continue learning and exploring the language beyond the classroom.
Academic Support
Throughout your course, you will receive extensive guidance and resources to support your learning. However, if you miss any content or wish to revisit key concepts, you will have access to a comprehensive library of online materials for up to 12 months after completing your course. This ensures you can review, reinforce, and apply your knowledge at your own pace, even after your studies have concluded.
Our programme is available for students aged 13 and over and for all levels.
